Fans will witness a rematch between the “UFC Queen” and the boxer who caused her painful defeat in July next year.
UFC President Dana White has just announced that the rematch between bantamweight champion Holly Holm and former champion Ronda Rousey will take place on July 9, 2016 at UFC 200 held at the Las Vegas Arena (USA).
Before officially announcing the date of Ronda Rousey’s rematch with Holly Holm, UFC President Dana White confirmed that the match between the two female fighters will definitely take place, otherwise he and UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta will resign.
Recently, Ronda Rousey also made strong statements on ESPN. The “UFC Queen” is determined to take revenge on Holly Holm : “I need to come back. And I definitely need to beat her (Holly Holm). I really want to knock out her teeth or break her jaw. I definitely have to do that.”
Known as the “Invincible One” among female boxers, in mid-November, Ronda Rousey was knocked out by her American compatriot, Holly Holm, in the bantamweight championship match at UFC 193.
Before the confrontation with Holly Holm, Ronda Rousey had won all 12 times in the ring. Not only was her reputation damaged, the “UFC Queen” also suffered physical pain when her lip was almost split in half after enduring a series of attacks from Holly Holm.
Obviously, Ronda Rousey could not “swallow” this bitter defeat. The “UFC Queen” could not wait until next July to break the teeth and jaw of her rival Holly Holm.
